The in-home body weight training plan was designed for the Shack Fit community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since fitness centers and specialty group fitness classes have been forced to closed down i recognize there is a need to help people maintain their fitness and health during this period of crisis. I feel it is my duty to give back to my community and provide professional guidance.
Until now the Shack Fit app has only been used for programming training plans for my private clients. I am now releasing a free 4 week plan to my community. This plan is suitable for all levels of fitness and video demonstrations are provided for all exercises. Many of the exercises have the option to be changed out with a similar exercise that is modified for beginners or more advanced trainees. I also added exercise modification options for users that may have resistance bands accessible.

My name is John Shackleton. In the training world I’m known as “Shack” or “Coach Shack.” I have served as the performance coach for the Villanova University Men’s Basketball Program for the last 8 years. I also consult with and train a diverse group of driven individual clients, including pro athletes, olympians, professionals and weekend warriors. For the past 20 years I have been immersed in fitness and human performance. I’m a fitness and nutrition enthusiast and I practice what I preach. That’s how I roll.
